Easiest Mac laptops to work on in 800MHz to 1.2GHz range?

I've successfully repaired a few Pismos now and I'm wondering what my next project should be. I'd like to find something closer to 1GHz processor speed as I've been selling each fixup to fund the next one (after using it for a while). The 800MHz iBook looks scary!

Thanks,

-Erik

Check out the guides for PowerBook G4s. I have found them to be generally easier to work on than the iBooks. That said if you have successfully repaired Pismos you should be able to handle the iBook series. The main problem you need to watch out for are disconnecting the power and speaker connections as its VERY easy to hurt the logic board if you are not careful. Find a project at the right price and go for--its fun. Good luck Ralph

+ Agreed, go for the PowerBooks, they're much easier to work on than the iBooks. I hate taking the upper case off an iBook.

Don't bother to work with the 800mhz model, go directly with the 1.33 12" or the 1.42 14" since they are easier to resell and can run Leopard quite well.
