Top Case Flex Cable part number?

Hi! I'd like to know what is the correct part# for the flex cable connecting the mobo with the topcase on my unit? I'd like to shop for a new one online and want to be sure that I purchase the right one.

The top case is considered one piece, so you'll have a hard time finding a "true" part number for it. while it is possible to swap it, it might be easiest to find a banged up top case and pull the cable from it. make sure it's the right top case though, as the temp sensors change between generations, and so do the connectors for them.

You see, the thing is, that I am willing to buy this cable http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Apple-17-MacBook... . For example this cable's Apple part # is 821-0417-A or 632-0394-A. But I am not sure that this ise the correct cable for my series model.

Yeah, that's what I'm asking. How can I find out whether the parts I want to order are fitting for my model or not. Just in case i'm also throwing in the S/N#

Basically all I'm asking is whether this cable is fitting for my MBP.

Ok, well look at your top case cable. the difference on the temp sensor connection was a blatant visual one. if it looks identical, then you should be good to go. What generation is your MBP? Penryn, Santa Rosa, Original Core 2 Duo, or Core Duo?
