Can I swap in the disk from older Time Capsule?

I have an older Time Capsule that I've upgraded to a 3TB disk. If I buy a used current model Time Capsule, can I swap in the disk from my old one and preserve all my existing backup history?

Options

Good question! It would be risky as the TC's have their own format (its not OS-X based). Besides the newer TC use a 2.5" drive vex the older units which use 3.5" so it won't fit.
