Could I do hardware diagnostic testing on a dead iPhone?

As I am a user and not an Apple employee or corporate or anything but just a user and know nothing but with a dead iPhone 4 and with a Windows 7 desktop PC, would there be some way I could test all hardware and see what hardware part or parts is failing? This would be on a dead iPhone 4 from Verizon.

Answer this question I have this problem too
