Want to double my existing 2GB of RAM

I have a MacBook Pro with 2GB of memory and 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I wish to double my RAM. Will the new 2 GB card simply snap on top of the existing one? I have never opened my laptop and want to be confident that I will not screw it up.

Your 2.26 MacBook Pro will hold up to 8 GB of RAm. The RAM does not have to be installed in pairs. You may need to remove one stick if you have two 1 GB pieces. Here's what will work: http://www.ramdirect.com/vcom/index.php?...

I dont know exactly what you mean by, "simply snap on top of the existing one", but you would have to remove the existing RAM altogether and replace the sticks with the new Upgrade RAM.
