Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII SPH-L710 Motherboard Swap?

So I dropped my phone last night, and further cracked the front glass, and it looks as if there is a tiny crack in the LCD, which no longer works. I'm hoping that the damage ends there...

Anyway, I have another Galaxy SIII sph-L710 from a friend. I was wondering if I could just put my motherboard into that phone? If I do so, do I need to have the phone activated by Sprint?

it you swap your motherboard into another phone it becomes the phone the motherboard came from. so will still be activated. is it a sprint s3 that you broke? i just put my verizon s3 motherboard in a sprint s3. boy that took some modifing of the case.
