Remove battery part and keep the case of battery?

hi guys,

I have an old macbook pro (A1260), the battery is swollen, and I don't mind to remove the battery and keep using AC power.

However, I find that after I remove the battery, the notebook have a big empty space, so I want to remove the "battery part" of my swollen battery, and put back the case of battery to replace the hole.
