Display not working after spill

Hello,

Very novice electronics guy here. Unfortunately had small amount of water leak onto computer while traveling (plenty of general repair threads, I know). Seems like water only landed in specific area of logic board (only one single water indicator turned red here). I located some corrosion here and cleaned as much as I could with denatured alcohol and toothbrush; waited for it to dry. Powered back on --> can see logon screen and actually log on if I look VERY VERY carefully at the extremely dark screen (appears to be without backlighting). I've attached an area of the involved logic board (Too novice to know what parts are what, although this seems to be where the display attaches).

Question is: Should I continue to try to clean this area, or is it likely toast? If this area truly is toast, will this involve simply replacing the display?

Sorry if I am not providing enough information, happy to add details.

Thanks so much!

You may need to lift the shield cover over the Thunderbolt controller as it looks like it got hit: Logic board (top side).

I would also check the 6 fuses at the connector (thicker trace lines) as well as one or more may have gotten blown.
