I pushed the little button at the left side of the MBP and none of the tiny LED lights lite up. Does this proof that the battery is really dead? My charger is original one that came with the system. I don't have another charger to test charging. System didn't get wet prior to the incident.

Yes your battery is not holding a charge. That could be a bad battery or the charging circuit or the charger it's self is not working. Can you get to an Apple Store? Or do you have a friend who you can borrow the use of a charger? I would start there. Tell us what you see is the charger plug lighting and what color as well as the brightness.
