i have a vaio flip 13 with a core i7 processor and 8gb of ram, the max sony sold as an option. The ram is not meant to be user serviceable. However I'm curious if it's possible to upgrade to 16gb of ram and if so, what type of ram can I use? Finally any tear down instructions on how to go about it?

The 13" model of the Vaio Fit Flip does not have upgrade able RAM. The RAM is soldered to the board.

I guess a better question on my part is... can you install more than the 8gig max that sony states? i..e can the mother board itself handle more than 8gb.
