iPhone does not charge anymore

When I plug the charger into the phone nothing happens. I've replaced the battery and it works but it still doesn't charge. I cleaned all the lint out where the charger connects to the phone but it still doesn't charge. I think there is some kind of short in the phone where the charger connects to the phone. It's not the cord from the adapter because it is new too.

Never mind, I just threw it out the window into the street and then kicked it down the road. I'm on my way to get a new phone.
