Replaced my hard drive with SSHD and now it won't turn on.

My old 2007 A1229 17" MacBook Pro had a hard drive failire so i replaced it with a Seagate 1T SSHD. Now it will not turn on. Only the sleep light blinks 3 times, pauses and repeats. Is there something I am missing? I have an external drive with time machine but the computer won't even come on.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

How did you install the HD? Did you clone it from your old HD or just drop it in?

Try re-seating the RAM.

Be sure to check the cable that connects the drive to the logic board. It could have come disconnected or even torn during the hard drive replacement procedure. If I remember right, this model's cable is glued down onto the original hard drive, making it that much more difficult to remove safely. Good luck.

Your GPU died! These machines are ticking time bombs, and yours went off. I am sorry to hear this. :-(
