Is there an internal antennae?

iPad connects to wireless when upstairs in home, but will not connect downstairs, is there an internal antannae

I think it's the signal not hardware problem. Maybe you're staying too far away from the router. Anyway, if you want to replace your iPad antenna with a new one, here is the part: http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-apple-ip...

Has the iPad been disassembled before? If not I can't see it being the internal antenna. Like Mia said, check your router and it's location.
