Can I recover data from iPhone 5 with a broken logic board?

My iPhone 5S fried itself somehow. I just picked it up one day and it was hot and unresponsive. My computer does not recognize it. At the Apple Store, they told me the logic board is broken and that there's no way to fix it or get the data. Based on Googling, I'm guessing that's true, but I thought I'd ask. I wasn't backing up to iCloud. My most recent sync was two weeks ago, so I have most of my data, but there are some recent pictures I would love to recover. Is there any way to recover data from the phone?

there is no way of recovering unless the phone boots to main screen dont let anyone tell you different and spam you with recovery programs that will not work as the phone needs to boot to main screen

If the CPU and main flash is intact, then in theory it is possible.

If the CPU and/or main flash is dead, Good luck beating AES256 then.

Thank you. How would I know if it is intact?

by

Yes you can if you know how to Jtag

by

He wouldn't be 'beating AES256' though. He's knows the encryption key already because it's his phone.

by

No, the key is derived from multiple sources including passcode, volume keys and CPU keys. He does not have all the details so he can never derive the final keys.

by

Yes you can, you don’t need to beat any encryption if you migrate CPU, EPROM, and NAND flash

If you don't have the backup file and your computer can not recognize your iPhone, you can not recover the photos from your iPhone 5.

No. As I have already said.

That’s not true, if you remove the EPROM, cpu and nand flash and install those on a working logic boards you can get the data

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can try some iPhone Data Recovery toolkit to recover them. You just need to run the program and connect you iPhone. There are three modes inside this toolkit. Maybe you can get further help in this tutorial about how to recover data from broken iPhone 5.
