How to take apart and repair the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01.

Question Closed

Camera fell on the floor (~2-3m) Won't turn on.

So where do I start? What's the most likely thing to have broken that made it inoperable? I have already fully took it apart and reassembled it in hopes that it's only a loose connector or something, but so far nothing. What should I check first?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Well a number of things could cause a camera to stop working after dropping it. So only a service center can tell what's wrong and that would be expensive. But maybe you should check the battery connections and the battery door switch. But if you have already taken it apart AND reassembled it I think it's time to see a service center. Best of Luck!

The issue here is that taking it to a service center is not worth it for me. I have no use for it, except just something that my grandparents or mom would occasionally take on trips. Really I just want to fix it for the sake of fixing it and I'd love to do it myself.

I know there could be a number of things that went wrong, but there must be a few things that are the most likely to have broken, while still looking like they should. For one, it's something that completely killed it, so an essential part and something that is not visible. I don't remember seeing any chipped microchips, loose contacts or anything. How about the capacitor? It's mainly for the flash as far as I'm concerned, but maybe still essential? Anyway, yeah, I'll check out the battery connections and all, give it another go.
