Wet iPod touch screen and touch not responding

I dropped my iPod touch 4 in the toilet

I turned it on

Used a hairdryer

And I put it in rice for 48 hours.

I turn it on and it works. Couple hours later it is black.

I charged it and you can still here the sound

And faintly see the screen but the touch is not working

The iPod is all dry

Although there was rice in the dock and I got it out with a skewer. It charged fine though. PLEASE ANSWER I AM DESPERATE

I have had this issue before, you have either not left it long enough or the screen back light is broken. Was the iPod in a case when it was dropped? as this might have helped stop water getting it to the internal parts via the headphone jack and the charge point.
