Unable to Restore iPod Classic After Changing Logic Board

I swapped out a bad logic board on a 120GB iPod Classic, but am now unable to restore it. Whenever I attempt to, iTunes gives me an error saying the firmware is not compatible. Any idea what could have gone wrong or how to fix it?

Download and install the firmware from here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and see what happens.
