Why is a portion of my mac screen glitching

Alright so just to start off, the right side of my mac screen is black, not much but about 1/10 of it. I noticed that it is generally hotter on that side then the left. Also, where my apps are, at the bottom of the screen, is an image of the top finder. (The apple sidebar at the top of the screen that says file, edit, view, history, and etc.) Even if I click a button up there is is like I clicked it down there and it shows up at the bottom like it continues. I searched up similar questions and I saw something mentioned about water damage but I have never spilt water on my Mac. My best guess is that a video card or something on the inside is out of place.

Thanks for any responses

Did you bang or drop your system, or get it wet?

I didn't drop it or get it wet, the problem occured when I was playing a game.

I'd start by connecting the laptop to an external screen. If you see the same exact issue, then the fault lies on the board. This way you can tell if it is at board level.

If you do not see the issue replicated on the external screen then it's back to square one in trying to figure it out.

O/T, since I don't know enough about this, I edited the answer. Does this stick better? It's a trick I use that sometimes allows me to "nail" the mother board.
