Display Goes Blue When Moved

Hi!

I have had a problem for a while with my MBA. Before I go into detail, it has never had any problems/work done to it or accidental spill's which normally affect the display.

What happens is after a while of non-use and having kept it somewhere at room temperature, when I open the display everything goes bluey with lines through it (see the image attached). Sometimes it is worse, sometimes better - but it always happens after I have not used it for a while.

After I start using it, it takes around 30 mins for the lines to stop, and If i move the screen at any point the lines appear again but then go away when I let go.

The only way I can seem to stop the problem is by keeping it in the car overnight where it is cold and then hey presto in the morning its all fine!

I have checked the display connector and it looks perfectly fine. I would like to save myself the pain of taking it to Apple and was wondering if anyone else had some suggestions as to what to check that could be causing this.

Many thanks!

I have a similar problem, sometimes when I open the screen, a lot of lines are displayed, and with some moves of the screen, I still can fix it, but when I move it, happens again... I think that is the display cable, I don't know for sure, Im looking for a lcd cable to change it and finally fix it, or maybe I have to change entire screen
