Charging port seems too much used

Hi everyone,

My ipod touch 5th 16go (no camera) seems charging well with a "non-official" charging cable. But this cable have been chewed by the cat and I need another one. I bought a official apple charging cable but it doesn't work: the ipod keep telling me that the cable is not a "authorized apple cable". So I have repaired the cable that is chewed by the cat and seems to work again. But the thing is: does this reparation could cause future problems to my ipod? I was hoping to have a brand new cable but it just doesn't work. I think it's the charging port that is too much used.

the question is: is it possible to change the charging port? if so, is there a ifixit manual?

I think that if the charging port is repaired, I will be able to buy a new "apple" cable...
