Touch id is working very poorly
Hello I have baught a iphone 5s and the touch id sensor has close to no functionality.
Most likely the screen has been replaced but the sensor is the original as i have access to touch id and it starts registering fingerprints but i can never get it to work. only once have i got to register a fingerprint hardly but still it never worked to unlock my iphone.
I have cleaned it in evey possible way but the sensor just cant read the fingerprint properly.
The guy who replaced the screen most likely didnt place the sensor correctly and thats why probably it acts so poorly.
Has anyone ever had such problems? I did have this sort of problem on a 5s gold before but i never got to fix it.
Is this a good question?

Any traces of liquid damage on that phone? Can you examine the button, button cable, and logic board for missing/broken/damaged/corroded components?
And can you try a different finger? Or have someone else scan their finger?
I'm doing a bit of guess work here, rather than giving a straight answer.

i have removed the touch id sensor, cleaned it and plugged it back in, as of now i managed to barely use 1 fingerprint for a couple of times but still it works like crap. can it be something related to the adhesive holding the membrane of the button assembly in place? because it seems to me that the whole assembly is a bit loose.
the phone had no visible liquid damage. and i tried all my fingers including some of my friends's fingers before i tried anything else :)

That would be my guess, that the home button itself is suffering from physical damage, but I lack enough experience to offer good advice.
