My iPad mini keeps going crazy too, and restarting it and holding the home and power button at the same time to restart hasn't helped either. It's really annoying and frustrating when it goes crazy and if anyone knows how to fix it or stop it from going crazy in some way please let me know. It would be very appreciated.

sounds like my problem too, and I also have a cracked screen (which has worked fine for some time). It acts like there's a person or malware driving the iPad, but I think that's an illusion. No one wants to mess with my silly pad, I don't think any successful malware would either. More likely, it's caused by mechanical failure. Mine's an iPad mini, pretty old, been repaired before, I guess it's time. Like the previous person, I've always resented Apple for making their product so vulnerable.

Hi I just had the same thing happen on my iPad Air 2. I did the reset, it has been working so far ( only been a few hours). You will lose your screen lock photo, wallpaper photo and more importantly saved passwords but that’s about it. Try the hard restart first then reset.

Back up to iCloud, erase (wipe) iPad, restore from iCloud.

Okay, try to hard reset your device?

by

Tried. It looks like everything is ok when device is "cold" after reboot or long time of not using but after few minutes of using when ipad warms up touchscreen starts touching itself
