What's this part called? :(

Hi guys,

Am trying to fix an iPhone 6, replacing the flex cable on the back of the LCD - does anyone know:

A) what the black sticker I peeled off is officially called?

B) Does it NEED replacing or can I use electric tape?

LCD heat spreader.

Replace parts like for like, don't bodge.

It's used to dissipate heat on the LCD. As @Mia said, this part should be called LCD heat shield.

As for the next question, you'd better not use the electric tape since the part is used to spread heat.

Turn to a qualified people in a repair shop to figure it out.
