iPhone is not turning on, even when is plug into the computer

Hi all,

My iPhone suddenly started to heat up when I plugged it into my shuffle base, and then it did not turn on again anymore... So I guess the battery is dead but I am not sure... Anyone have a suggestion of what is going on? Thanks...

heating up is not good. it might be the battery, but it could also be something different.

i would suggest that you open the phone using the battery guide you will need a multimeter and the tools mentioned in the guide to do that.

measure the battery voltage on the contacts - if the battery has less than 3v - the phone will not work.

i would also check the smaller parts if something looks odd (use the pictures from the guides or the teardown to compare it to)
