We recently replaced the filter on our Samsung french door refrigerator and the water dispenser stopped working. However it will work without a filter. We tried putting the older filter back in and it still will not work. Any ideas?

After replacing the water filter then you must flush the air out of the lines. Hold a glass under dispenser until the water starts flowing. This could take several minutes. Be patient. Flush about a gallon out or until the water pressure is back to normal.
I have a bad filters, new and out of the box that don't work.

I had the same issue and finally found the fix. If you remove the water filter from inside the refrigerator, you will see there is a little plastic thing (in my GE fridge it's to the right of the nipple) that needs to be pushed up by the filter in order for the water to be released. Mine must have broken off a bit, because it is not getting pushed in when I install the filter. I taped a small metal thing over it and then installed the filter again. The water came out immediately and faster than it had before. This won't be a permanent fix for mine, but at least I know that it isn't a wiring defect or any of the other more complicated issues.
