Why does my iPhone's screen not turn on?

I recently dropped my iPhone in a little water and i was able to get it working again. But when ever i lock the phone and try to turn it on the screen will turn on but will only display blackness. The only way i get the screen on is by hard reset and after that it continues with the black screen. I have also restored my iPhone to see if it would help but it didn't change anything.

This will more than likely be due to the water damage, corrosion may have built up on the logic board and would need cleaning.

The lcd display may also be damaged, but your best bet is to get it professionally cleaned, or you could try yourself with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush on the logic board connectors and screen connectors.
