Changing the oil-pan internal filter?

In the sump pan or oil pan at the base of the engine , exists an internal filter that needs changing or replacing. How do I go about this ?

I am not sure about an internal oil filter. I checked the service manual as well as the oil pan itself and do not see anything you are referring to. Where did you get the information from? What year is your Corolla and what engine size is it?

I have a 2008 corolla but its not an internal one. Its on the front side of the oil pan. It's a bit of a reach, I could only get it by going under the front.
