iPhone 5 doesn't load

Hello,

my iPhone 5 won't load the battery. I can start and use it. At first, I changed the battery but it wasn't better so I decided to change the connector port because my old port and the lightningcabel were black on the 4th pin. But nothing...the iPhone identify the aukey cabel but it won't charge.

Is there any way to fix this problem? I don't know what I can do now.

Hi Ice,

If replacing your charging dock doesn't solve the issue, then there is no easy fix for your issue.

It will mean your phone's U2 chip needs to be replaced. It is a small chip on the logic board part responsible for the charging process. It notoriously and frequently fails on the iPhone 5.

Some very skilled individuals can replace it, but it's expensive to do.

I suggest that you contact jessabethany (look her up on this website) and see if she can help you fix it.

Note: using fake or cheap cables but specially chargers can cause or help cause this issue.

Hey Rany, thanks for your answer. After I posted this thread, I read about the problem. That's not good. :( I'm a little bit surprised because the iPhone identify the cable but say that the cable is not certified. My original lightningcable is all so not certified says my phone.

If your cable gets damaged, it may say it is not certified anymore. For the sake of it, if you can borrow a known good original cable, try to charge your phone for 20~40 minutes or so and see if it starts. It could be that you're lucky and the issue is only a damaged cable.

You can also visually inspect around the battery and charging dock connectors; look for anything missing/broken/damaged.
