Remove LCD for glass only repair?

Which method is better for a glass only repair.

Try and remove the LCD and then clamp it down on my heat plate and use the wire to split.

Same process as the previous samsungs, remove the glass with the LCD in the frame.

1st method - concerned about breaking the lcd

2nd method - concerned about LOCA seeping into the logic board behind.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Can't see how it would be a hack repair, I've done many galaxy phones and always checked with the customers after a period of time without complaint.

And I can't see how dust would get in when loca glue is used anyway?

And the few s5 which I have done have been fine, 100% so far?

Nick what are you talking about? It's a hack repair if you don't use LOCA or do a half a** job. Speak for yourself on this one. If you have trouble or can't complete it 100% ,don't do it but surely don't blame the tools. When we do it at RockIT Repairs the phone looks like it was repaired at the factory. Yes definitely remove the lcd for a galaxy s5 screen replacement service. We like to use a bicycle card to remove lcd without breaking. here is a link to our lcd removal video. (this is for an s3 but same concept on LCD removal.
