my macbook top row of letters and all my numbers are working but this is how it types t5r4y6i8w2o9w2e3 one key tap gives a letter & a number (w2).please help

Sounds like something got spilled on it and shorted it out.

Options

kristiemcmullan, try and use a USB keyboard and see if that functions correctly. If so, you will have to replace yours.
