8GB A1366 has a Black screen, Still connects to itunes

Hello, i had my ipod in my jeans and it went in the washing machine... becouse it has alot of sentimental value (was a gift form a special person) i want to bring it back to life. The thing is, after drying it the screen still remains black, i can connect it to itunes and all the data is still there. If i disconnect the data cable and press the volume keys it makes sounds (volume up/volume down),but i cant play music. So now my question is what should i repair? Is it the screen + digitizer?

I read the questions other people had but none of them wrote that they had sound.

Elvis, ke dy zgjidhje. E para eshte te nderrosh komplet ekranin, por mund te kesh dhe problem daljen video nga logic board i iPod tend. Service qe merren me kete pune ka me bollek, ndaj nuk mendoj se do jete problem ta rikthesh ne jete perderisa funksionon.

I know there are alot of repair shops but they will charge me 100€ and i still get no guarantee that it will work (Slovenija). I just dont have that much money, so i want to try and fix it myself. The LCD is not expensive i can get it for 15€, but if the problem is elsewere i need to know what parts to buy :)
