Both usb ports are damaged/ pcmia card?

I have been advised that the damaged ports (both) cannot be repaired / replaced because they are attached to logic board.

It was suggested that I could still use a usb pcmcia card.....

would any card work? how would I attach it to my computer?where do you plug it in?

Be very careful when selecting a card to insure Mac compatibility. Do a web search for "usb pcimci card & mac" to locate cards. Here's one: http://reviews.pricegrabber.com/usb-fire...

You can always use a USB wireless PCIMA card or use a USB one suggested

Hi, Here is a link to a pdf copy of your owners manual. It will show you exactly where the card slot is located and advise you of what cards will work. Good luck. Ralph

This is a copy of the original manual so I imagine that is out of date. It does however describe the type of card that is acceptable. Your recommendation is a good choice. Ralph
