I replaced my MacBook screen and now won't start up right

My MacBook Pro, after putting it back together, won't start up properly.

The screen stays black, no chimes or noises, and the white power light fades out and doesn't come back on. Also, After a minute the keyboard backlight will come on and eventually turn off as if going to sleep or something.

I'm wondering if I need to just replace the video cable or there is some real issue here.

Help us help you. The more complete the description of your problem is (some background or history about why you had to replace the display - dropped, liquid damage) the more assistance we can provide, and, the sooner we can provide it..

Well, no liquid damage or phsical damage to the screen at all. Was just a simple take wires and screen from one top shell to another.

Liquid damage to the logic board (components) could be an issue with not booting. Sometimes corrosion damage takes time to build up enough to cause failures. So if the machine was liquid damaged that information is Germain to finding a solution.

99.044% of the time a reassembly issue is a connector that is incorrect (loose or misaligned). Go over all your connections(ors) again looking for a ribbon cable that is not fully inserted and locked, or a connector that is not "snapped" in.

Some of these latter machines will not boot without a fully charged battery, or, mains power and a ~20% charged battery.

I'll give that a shot. I've been having a suspicion that is also the issue.

I accept this because, once I opened it up and re-ran the wire everything worked. The machine as working properly the whole time, but the non-video through off my perception of what is going on.

Plus took it to Apple and confirmed.
