Black plastic display coming away from metal casing

I went through this tutorial to see if I could fix my problem on my late 2008 Mac book pro. The black part of the display is coming away from the silver body of the lid. I can't seem to work out how it is attached and how to fix it, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

See this step - though I've not done this one they are "friction" or "snap" fits.

Note: The small black plastic cosmetic cover that fills the open end of the clutch cover when it is in place. The cosmetic cover has very thin and delicate plastic arms that hold it to the right clutch hinge.

So if one of the "tangs" are broken a dab of glue may be your only solution. As you can see it would be a huge mount of work (and risk) to try to replace the strip (if you could find a replacement strip)
