iPod won't turn on after screen replacement?

Hi, I bought a screen from you guys installed it and my ipod won't turn on anymore. I put the old screen back and it wouldn't turn on either, I couldn't so a hard reset because the home button feels like a flat surface it doesn't click ? I triple checked all cables and they clicked and stayed connected, what could I have done wrong? oh and the computer won't recognize it?
