New battery constantly rebooting iPhone

Acquired new battery from IFIXIT order 844306. Once installed, the iPhone continuously reboots. What am I doing wrong and how should I fix it?

Thanks

Hi Kristin,

1/ Try to disconnect then re-seat your battery.

2/ If this does not help, put back your old battery. If the phone starts normally, the battery you received could be defective. Contact iFixit and explain your issue. They should return/replace your battery. This sometimes happens with batteries.

3/ If using your old battery still gives you the same problem, look at the logic board around where the battery connector attaches to the board, see if anything is damaged or missing;

Also look at the battery connector itself and poke at it gently (while battery is disconnected), see if it moves in any way, as you may have damaged it during your first repair attempt.

Let me know if any of the steps helped solve your issue or if you saw something wrong such as described in step 3.
