Unit convertor missing between the two interface PATA and SATA

As described and shown in "12.7 mm PATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure" the optical drive of my iMac is not fitted with a unit convertor as seen in the picture. The mala SATA connector is directly fitted into the female optical drive connector. Replacing the optical drive by the SSD frame with a PATA connector is not possible.

How to get the unit convertor from PATA to SATA?

You will need to buy the adapter it is not supplied with the system.

Here is the adapter for the optical drive: 12.7 mm PATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure. It allows you to install either a HD or SSD which is a 2.5" (laptop) SATA unit.

Is that what you are looking for?

Or, are you trying to install a different optical drive unit which is SATA based? Which won't work here as this systems interface is PATA not SATA.
