What chip is this one?

Can anyone define what is the chip as in the picture.

After water damage this part is really hot and consumes battery even when phone is off. The phone is in working condition.

What you are pointing at is L9, An inductor for LED flashlight. U17, which is right next to L9 under the shield, is somehow shorted, which causes L9 to constantly run on full power.

Any suggestion how to overcome such issue? What is U17 used for? if I remove the L9 what do I lose?

I removed the L9 and now is not overheating anymore nor the battery is draining.

The only drawback is the Flash is not working

U17 is the flash light power converter.
