After battery replacement with iFixIt battery, phone will not turn on.

About 10 months ago, I ordered a replacement battery from iFixit. It stayed in my drawer for a while and now the time has come to swap it in. I did this once before, and I had no problem. However, this time around, after I put everything back together, the phone screen is not working.

The phone vibrates when it is first plugged in, and my computer recognizes the iPhone. However, the screen is not turned on at all, including the back light. I opened it up again and double checked that every single connecter was connected and plugged in. What could be the problem?

How long did you give the battery to charge back up after sitting for 10 months?

20 minutes and it didn't turn on...I thought I should at least see a low battery by then or the screen turn on? What do you think? I just plugged it in again to sit for a bit.

I waited several hours now and still no turn on...but even plugged into the wall, the phone screen still won't turn on at all...is that still the battery? i think there could be some other problem.

10 month?? - thats a long time, a very long time! the battery is a lithium polymer cell and not a normal battery - lipo cells should never be completely discharged, discharging to a lover voltage than 3v could harm/kill the battery - a fully charged lipo cell should normally kept in a dark, cold and fireproof place (they can burn/explode) - if the battery is stored longer than 2 weeks, the voltage should be measured every week - if it drops to 3v - recharge it, if it has a lower voltage than that - it can happen that the device is not able to charge it. usb charged devices must have a minimum voltage of around 3v - if it's less - then the usb port won't wake up and that means that the voltage will only around 2.3 - 2.6v instead of 5v an ac adapter could help in that situation - but be aware - the cell could have died in those 10 month

if the battery died - it won't charge - but i would disassemble it again, maybe something different died - like the fuse on the logic board
