Damaged logic board after screen change(blue screen)

I recently replaced the screen on my phone and placed the cable cover screws in the wrong holes, damaging the logic board. Now the phone will not boot and I get the blue screen. Currently the are no logic boards in stock and I need the phone for work ASAP. Would I be able to purchase a "bare" board and swap all the components over or is this beyond a layman's repair ability. Also will an iPhone 5 or 5c logic board work?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Chadwick, to swap "all the components over or is this beyond a layman's repair ability." will be way beyond that. It will require special tools (i.e. reball, microsoldering ) and special skills to even think about atempting it. No, the 5 and 5C are different boards, different layouts and can not be swapped.

What about a board that has an Apple ID lock? I don't know what that is and is it repairable?

Those are boards that are only usefull for parts. They can come (and most do) from lost and stolen phones and are to be avoided like the plague

Transplanting chips is beyond your capability, replacing the board will kill your Touch ID unless you also swap the buttons. Which is why you should just get another phone.
