I can't enable my iPod, help?

My ipod touch 2nd Generation is disabled. I can't connect it to iTunes because I don't know the passcode. I have tried holding and releasing multiple buttons after a long search on google for the answer, but my ipod will NOT go into recovery or DFU mode. All it does is powers on and off normally (with the power [sleep/wake] button) and charges when connected to the computer.

Also I have Windows 7. Please help, I'm getting so frustrated.
