iPhone Home Button not working after replacing shattered screen.

I shattered my screen and got the screen replaced. The screen works perfectly fine but now my home button is unresponsive. The guy who replaced it said the home button worked after he turned it on but when I turned it back one it was not. I have tried restoring my phone, "recalibrating" (opening a stock app and holding the power button down and letting it go back to home screen), cleaning it with isopryl alcohol and NOTHING is working. Those are all the things the verizon guy told me to do and none of them worked. HELP!

Stephanie--three possibilities.

button flex

dock connector

logic board

Open the phone, with the screen lifted up but attached, power the phone on. Slide to open. Open an app. Using a pair of tweezers, touch both of the gold prongs on the dock connector at once with one of the tweezer sides.

What happens?
