How can I fix my AC recharging access on my Kindle?

It appears my AC adaptor location on the Kindle insert is too loose or damaged. I have tried 2 different adaptors...with a lot of wiggling it worked for a while if propped in position. Now it does not - no light. I have blown it out and lightly run a toothpick over it to insure no cat hairs or dust in there.
