replaced battery, now 'connect to iTunes' & home &power gone

I've taken it apart, and put it back together many times, sometimes I'll get the phone working, but still not have a responsive home & power button

Sounds like classic pry damage to me.

You can order the components for the pry damage area from Alibaba and give it a DIY try, or send it out for straightforward microsoldering job.

First check the chips underneath the battery connector, because they are responsible for the Power- and Homebutton. If one of the very small chips is brocken, the phone is useless.

useless? naw. you can use assistive touch, or get the thing fixed.
