iPhone 4: Black Screen and "bong" Tone/Noise

I tried to follow the tutorial to repair my iPhone 4's home button. Unfortunately the process was a failure because I am now experiencing a black screen and a never ending "bong" noise when plugged into a wall outlet.

Can anyone help/provide insight as to what's happened to it and if you think I can fix this, or should I just junk it for parts/repair on ebay? I don't know if this means the logic board has failed...

Edit: I gave up. I took the whole thing apart and and tried to reassemble and the same thing occurrs. Not worth fixing this phone ($40 for a display really?) so I will be putting it on ebay for parts or repair.

Open back up and make sure the screen connecrors are fully pressed down and seeded correctly if still the same after that you will need to try a new screen.

Thanks for your response. They are definitely seated correctly - I've reseated them a few times now trying to resolve this (probably only making my chances of getting this to work even worse). So do you think that I destroyed the LCD screen cable? I was pretty careful while I did it and there is no visible damage ie like a cut or hanging cable, so I'm pretty disappointed...

Try to do a hard reset on the phone... holding home button and power button at the same time.
