Options

I lose my secondary screen when I shut my laptop screen.

I have a secondary screen on a docking station but when I close my laptop screen my secondary screen goes black then when I open the laptop screen it comes back again.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Options

The most likely cause of this is your power management settings, specifically the rule as to how to proceed upon screen closure. Check your settings and make sure that it does not turn off display or similar under your power management settings in control panel or your taskbar.
