Why is my display not working?

Hi,

The screen to my mac is partially broken as can be seen here(http://imgur.com/k5NUMst). This was not caused by any physical damage or any other sudden changes. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to get a new screen?

Emma Kirst, that looks like a bad LCD panel. No way to repair it, you will have to replace the panel.
