There's a connector on my logic board that's unconnected

I opened the bottom case to check for a certain issue and I noticed that this connector is not connected.

My audio doesn't work and I have some issues with charging and start up sometimes. Could this be related and how do I fix it?

Vanessa, that is your left speaker connector. Looks like it is totally off the board. You will have to resolder it. From your picture it appears that the pads are okay so a simple touch-up with a soldering iron should be sufficient. It is most likely responsible for your audio issues, but not your start up, unless the loose connector would shorten something else out. Resolder it and the re-evaluate.

Thank you. I'll do that. sometimes when I power up the computer on the fan will turn on as if its starting up but the screen will remain black. I usually have to wait several hours bbefore it will start normal again.

In that case you may want to connect an external monitor and see if you can see on that one. It is possible that you may have a bad inverter circuit or LED driver. repair one thing first then go to the next issue

Ok. I will try that after I fix the connector. Thank you for all your help.
