CPU upgrade/replacement socket type

I read the guide for the iMac CPU replacement. I have opened my iMac 2010 and replaced the hard drive, but I didn't look at the CPU and the socket type. My question is, What CPU sockets can fit in the iMac 2010 models? I think the stock is 1156 on the iMac 2010. Can I use 1150 or 1155 CPUs?

Thanks,

Amiel

Look on the bottom of your stand to see your exact machine and processor type. If you give us the last four figures of the serial number we can tell you.

Here's the guide on replacing the CPU, it's involved and you may want to reconsider if you are a beginner. iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 CPU Replacement
