MacBook Unibody Model A1278 Got splashed by water, will not turn on

Unit got splashed with pool water and will not turn on. it seems that the battery is charging though.Apple want's $700.00 to fix!!!

What can I start to replace, bit by bit in the hopes to get the unit up and running?

Water and electrons do not play well together

one of the drawbacks to an enclosed or integrated battery is liquid damage... you can't pull the battery easily.

I would venture that you have damaged the logic board but only examination will tell.

You might still be able to clean the corrosion or dry the board if you haven't already damaged components.
